Information

AI will not replace healthcare professionals, but it will profoundly transform their practices. To ensure it becomes a true lever for progress, its use must be regulated, data quality safeguarded, and the trust relationship between caregivers and patients preserved. In 2018, the Montréal Declaration called for the development of artificial intelligence in the service of the common good. This France–Québec “Regards croisés” conference, with Jean-Louis Fraysse and Catherine Régis, moderated by Gaëlle Hermans, revisits its legacy and reflects on today’s priorities: adoption, clear benchmarks, citizen governance, and shared responsibility.

The Regards Croisés conferences are part of a project supported by Quebec's Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs within the framework of the Permanent Commission for Franco-Quebec Cooperation (CPCFQ).
