Du virtuel au réel : le numérique et l’art au service de la relation Humain-végétal
Information
The workshop explores how artistic practices, supported by digital technologies and artificial intelligence, can help renew our relationship with living beings and with our territories.
It will begin with a theoretical introduction to the concepts of resonance (Hartmut Rosa), eco-emotions, and relational ecology, highlighting the central role of aesthetic experience as a form of mediation in a world marked by ecological and social crises. Art will be presented as a privileged space where sensitivity, imagination, and reflection come together to transform the ways we inhabit the world.
Two research-creation projects will then be showcased. Both are based on the sonification of the electrophysiological signals of plants combined with artificial intelligence, opening up new forms of dialogue between humans, plants, and territories. These projects will shed light on the transformative power of aesthetic experience—understood both as an encounter with beauty and as a sensory experience—allowing us to redefine our relationship with the living world and to cultivate active resilience in the face of contemporary upheavals.
The workshop will conclude with a participatory discussion, inviting reflection on the potential and the limits of such approaches: How can art, in dialogue with digital technologies, open new pathways of attention and resonance with the territory? How can we ensure that technological mediation does not impoverish the sensitive relationship, but instead deepens and expands it?
